Residential Care

Our knowledgeable and friendly staff provide high-quality residential care for older adults in Glasgow, supporting residents to lead independent lives with as much or as little assistance as they require. Our residential care home in Glasgow is designed for those who need a bit of extra support with daily tasks but want to maintain as much independence as possible. Each resident benefits from personalised care that respects their preferences and routines, helping them feel right at home.

Residential care allows our participants to enjoy the benefits of group living with those who share a similar lifestyle without the hassle of managing a household. We look to facilitate our residents well-being and enable them to enjoy busy social life. In addition to regular tours and events, there is a diverse activities and entertainment schedule so that people have to opportunity to continue hobbies they already enjoy and try some new ones.

What is Residential Care?

Residential care is an excellent option for someone who can no longer live alone with ease. Some people prefer to live in a residential care facility because it provides them with security, social interaction, and continual assistance. Residents can enjoy the benefits of group living alongside individuals with similar interests without the stress of sustaining a household.

Residential care aims to improve a person’s overall well-being and social life. We believe in providing more than just basic care for our residents; encouraging participation in social activities helps residents to thrive. Our mission is to provide the finest possible quality of life for all of our residents, no matter their personal needs.

Residential Care FAQs

Residential care is a great care solution for those who require full-time accommodation with the option of around-the-clock support for personal care needs. It is also a great option for those feeling lonely or who would benefit from group living. Similar to residential care, nursing care also provides 24/7 care and support but it is designed for those who need additional help from registered nurses who can administer medication and medical treatment.

The personalised care plans we develop for our residents are regularly monitored and assessed. If our resident’s care needs change while living with us at Westerton Care Home, then our team will work with them and their family to adjust their care plan as necessary to ensure their needs are always being met. Westerton Care Home is proud to provide a continuum of care meaning should care needs change, residents can move to a different care unit within our home.

The services and facilities provided by care homes and nursing homes all vary, but at Westerton Care Home, you can expect 24-hour support with medical care and personal care as well as housekeeping and laundry services, meals, activities, entertainment and in-house facilities.

At Westerton Care Home, we require a 28-day notice period for residents receiving any of our long-term care types and are looking to move out. Our compassionate team are on hand around the clock to support you with your moving transition and answer any further questions you have.
