We are recruiting for kitchen assistants

We are seeking to recruit both a full-time and part-time Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team. Westerton is a custom-built care home, with a newly built extension, designed to the highest standard with a host of luxurious features available to our residents.

The position will involve assisting the Chef in organising and controlling the efficient and economic production of quality food within the allowed budget, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.

A Basic Food/Hygiene certificate is required. Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as good team skills, are necessary for this role. Ability to work on own initiative is also essential. A satisfactory PVG check applies to this position. Experience in food preparation for elderly clients is desired but not essential.

There are full-time positions (44 hours per week) and part-time positions (27.5 hours per week) available. Both offer excellent rates of pay and a first-class working environment, coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.
