A Celebration Fit for Royalty: Honouring The King’s Coronation with a Grand Party

Resident & Staff Celebrating The King's Coronation

We had a week of celebrations for the Coronation of the King with the main party on Saturday and watching the ceremony live in the Cinema room. Entertainment was going on throughout the home, and residents enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

100 crowns were knitted by Anne giving all our Kings and Queens at Westerton their own memorable crowns. A big thank you to Anne for spending so much of her time knitting fantastic miniature crowns.

The dining rooms were decked out in British flag memorabilia, ready to serve delicious food and drink. Many residents sat in our communal rooms socialising with fellow residents and their loved ones. We also enjoyed entertainment from one of our regular singers who waved the great British flag while singing great songs from the past including 'My Girl' by The Temptations.

What a wonderful bank holiday we had and we look forward to hosting more celebrations at our home in the summer months.
